Like putting money in a vending machine only to have your treat get stuck sometimes we put in lots of hard work and we don’t get the desired results. Sometimes we get the reverse effect, like an injury.
I haven’t posted in some time because I was recovering from an injury. I won’t go into too much details, but I will say that I was training up to 3 times a day when it happen.
It was quite serious, not because all injuries should be taken seriously but because I know my body and I could tell this injury wasn’t the same. As you grow you start to ‘read’ your body. You learn to feel through intuition if everything is fine with your body.
As you grow older you start to pay more attention to how you feel and what ails you.
What is more important is recognizing that you aren’t a 100% and you need to rest. Resting is one of the most underrated aspects of training. I remind others that it is better to rest 1-2 days a week rather than getting hurt and having to sit out for 1-2 months. Yes, I was resting for about 1.5 months…
I’m feeling 100% better now and you should start to see more post in the future. I have lots to catch up on!
