Pareto’s Principle 80-20 rule

Here is a gold nugget I want to share with you.  It relates to a principle of excellence.

The famous Pareto’s Principle says that 80% of your results come from 20% of your activities.  In sales, the rule is that 80% of your sales will come from 20% of your sales people.

I have noticed that the 20% of people that are great an their respective areas of expertise have made a conscious decision to become excellent in that area.  It is not an accident that they become very good at what they do.

These people make the decision to be the best.  The difference between them and others is that they are just a little better in those areas.  You have to decide and then work at becoming very good at whatever you want to do.

Most people worry about money all the time, yet they fail to do anything about changing that situation.
