The Secret Revealed
The first chapter of the book “The Secret” starts with revealing what the secret is to us. In the book it is explained to us what knowing and applying the secret can accomplish in our lives.

“You can have whatever it is that we choose. I don’t care how big it is.” – John Assaraf
We learn that many of the greatest teachers have known and lived the secret. Most of the greatest religions have delivered it through their writings and stories.
The books reads that the law of attraction determines the complete order in the Universe, every moment of your life, and every single thing you experience in your life. No matter who you are or where you are, this law of attraction is forming your entire life experience, and this all powerful law is doing that through your thoughts.

We are given several examples of people that have only thoughts of abundance and wealth and how these predominant thoughts of wealth have brought wealth to them. Essentially we are what we think about all the time. Your current life is an exact reflection of your past thoughts. Anything that is happening in your life has been attracted to you through thought because you attract to you what you think about most.
“Our job as humans is to hold on to the thoughts of what we want, make it absolutely clear in our minds what we want, and from that we start to invoke one of the greatest laws in the Universe, and that’s the law of attraction. You become what you think about most, but you also attract what you think about most.” – John Assaraf
On the other hand we often wonder why we are in our current situation and think about what we don’t want. This also brings these things into our lives. “Here’s the problem. Most people are thinking about what they don’t want, and they’re wondering why it shows up over and over again.” – John Assaraf. The book refers to this as the “don’t want” epidemic worse than any plague. It is explained to us that the law of attraction is impersonal and it does not see good things and bad things. It is receiving your thoughts and reflecting back to you those thoughts as your life experience.
The thought I leave you with today is to start to think and focus on only the things we want to come to pass in your life. Your dominate thoughts become things in your life. Leave out the “bad, unwanted” thoughts, just don’t think of them. See the things you want as clearly as you can in your mind, continuously.
For me, I’ve decided to put this to practice and work at leaving the unwanted thoughts out of my head. As soon as I get one of these unwanted thoughts, I will change the subject to something I do want to pass. I’ve also started to think of a certain amount of money I want in my bank account and focus on the car I will be driving soon. I can see these things clearly in my mind and think of them continuously.
