The Secret Made Simple
In the next chapter of “The Secret” we explore more about how the law of attraction works and why it works.
“The law of attraction is a law of nature. It is as impartial and impersonal as the law of gravity is. It is precise, and it is exact.” – Rhonda Byrne. In the short example we get about falling off a building, gravity doesn’t care if we are a good person or bad person, we are going to fall. The point here is that if you think good things or bad things, the law of attraction has no choice, but to bring those things into your life.
The book refers to being on the “same frequency” as certain circumstances and events that have passed in your life. It doesn’t need to be exact thing you were thinking about, but these things will closely match our thoughts.
Does this mean you have to continuously monitor your thoughts? Yes and the book explains that we should use your feelings to do this. “Your thoughts are the primary cause of everything. Everything else you see and experience in this world is effect, and that includes your feelings. The cause is always your thoughts.” – Rhonda Byrne
“The most important thing for you to know is that it is impossible to feel bad and at the same time be having good thoughts. That would defy the law, because your thoughts cause your feelings. “- Rhonda Byrne. In order to bring good, positive happy things into our lives you must use only good feelings throughout your life. From my own experience I have found that I can quickly stop thinking of negative things, past events, and finding myself happier and smiling more. Of course as soon as I have a bad feeling or thought, I remind myself of the power of the law of attraction and quickly change both my thoughts and feelings. Overall, I’m happier more often than not.
The book goes further explaining how the good feelings send out a frequency into the Universe that will attach itself and attract back more of the good feelings you are having. It also gives examples of how one bad thought can spiral an entire day into “one of those days”.
The book recommends creating a list of “Secret Shifters” to help you quickly snap out of a bad mood or bad feeling. These shifters should be things like music, pictures, area of the house, anything that will quickly bring happy thoughts. Note, after I finish writing, I will grab a couple of my own “Secret Shifters”.
“The most important question any human being can ask themselves is, ‘Is this a friendly Universe?” – Albert Einstein.
