I spent the Memorial Day weekend having fun at Galveston with tons of friends. The sun was beaming and the smell of sun block was in the air.
Traffic was light until we hit the island, then it was so slow. We passed the time picking out interesting vehicles and talking about things that have been happening lately. Gary Coleman from the TV show “Different Strokes” died and Dennis Hopper died over the weekend.
Once we got to Stewart Beach we parked and started setting up the chairs, tables and volleyball nets. I went for a swim in the ocean. No, I didn’t get an oil on me from the recent oil spill, LOL.
The beach was packed full of families, kids, people. As I walked into the water and looked around I pondered? Why do we flock to the water? Is it to beat the heat of the summer
days, or is there something inside us that pulls us to the water…
Later I got to fly some really cool kites, and play soccer.
Talk about being happy and having tons of fun.
The water was perfect, the air was breezy warm.
Have fun, live happy and successful,
