Flight Of The Buffalo Book Review| Person Success

Good morning,
It is 9:31 am, my room is chilly and it is rainy outside. It started raining yesterday evening and in some parts it flooded.

That means I can’t take my morning bike ride to the skate park… Instead today I’m going to start a BOOK REVIEW for you. The name of the book is “FLIGHT OF THE BUFFALO, Soaring to excellence learning to let employees lead”. The book is written by James a Belasco and Ralph C. Stayer.

This is a management book I picked up sometime back, but never got around to reading. Today is the day, and in this first post I’ll briefly describe the book and in the next post I’ll start reviewing Chapter 1. Each chapter I review will cover the key concepts of that chapter and information about my experience and interpretation.

It is a national bestseller published by Warner Books. On the back cover it describes some of the things revealed by the book:

• How hardworking, hard-driving managers can get outmaneuvered by more nimble competition in today’s global marketplace
• How your organization can become more focused, more flexible, and more productive at the same time
• Why today’s workers want and need more responsibility, and how you can empower them now
• How to become a manager who goes beyond filling quotas to one who creates an atmosphere of quality, customer satisfaction, and success.

The book is broken into 8 parts, each part consisting of many chapters.

Sounds very interesting, so without further ruckus…let us get started!
