Flight Of The Buffalo Chapter 12 Book Review

Today I review chapter  of “Flight Of the Buffalo” .  If you read the first post in the series you know that this is a management book that I decided to review for you guys.

PART 4 -Determining Focus And Direction
CHAPTER 12 – “The Market Is A Great Place to Plant Your Company?”

Focus on finding the location for your company.  If you haven’t already heard it, business is about location, location, location.  In this day an age this still holds true.  When you are a leader you should focus on finding the destination, and there’s no better destination than the customer’s location.

Location isn’t just a physical place, its also a state of mind.  You have to put your mind around what the customers want in terms of a product.  The easiest and most direct way to find out where the customer’s heds are is to find out from the customers themselves.

Leaders design systems and structures that help keep the focus on the location.  It is the responsibility of the leader to keep everyone focused on the customer.

End of Chapter Question: Am I my customer?

Leadership Solution: If at first you don’t succeed, you’re not with your customers.  Find them.
