Awakening to habits for Being Well in a Digital Age: The Science and Practice of Yoga.
This blog post is to discuss why it is important for me to make a commitment to become aware of my technology use. It is important for me because constantly looking at my phone or computer takes away time from important activities in my life. Also, since phones and computers are still fairly new in our lives we still don’t know the full health impact these devices can have on us.
I’ve read studies about the negative impacts of technology in our lives. Some of the affects include depression, anxiety, not sleeping well, and stress. I’ve decided to take some time off from social media for personal use. I am using it mainly to complete my course work, to stay in connect with family and very close friends, and to help with my job.
